Neopet creators venture into blockchain gaming, independently

Adam and Donna Powell, creators of Neopet are developing a blockchain game, Dragginz.

Dragginz is an open world where players cultivate pets by turning dice hourly. These dice become parts of a pet based on luck.

Adam and Donna Powell started developing Dragginz in 2014 and left it due to lack of an efficient programming language for developing a game on Ethereum. They learned about the Internet Computer blockchain after meeting Dominic Williams in 2017. In 2020, Adam and Donna announced developing Dragginz on the Internet Computer (IC) blockchain.

Adam and Donna plan to fully host Dragginz on the IC blockchain. Users would be able to buy pets as NFT and sell cultivated pets. Dragginz will be an MMO where players can play different roles: cultivate pets, create spells and grow trees.

With their track record as creators of Neopets, Adam and Donna could make Dragginz successful.
