To calm the buzz, Ubisoft released an article addressing users about the issue. The article contains an update about the company’s inactive account deletion policies.

According to the article, Ubisoft accounts with active subscriptions and purchases will not be closed. However, accounts with no active subscriptions and purchases will be closed after notification.

The interval for inactive account closure is four years, Ubisoft said.
